Every song carries a story. Bring your song and discover how it might move you and others. We all have songs that mean something to us — songs that remind us of a special moment, a loved one, our younger years, or simply a song we love to dance to.
Ever wondered what it would be like to bring that song to life — to create a unique dance inspired by it?
Join dance artist Anne for Songs We Carry, a creative and inclusive workshop exploring memory, identity and connection through music and movement.
We’ll begin with a playful warm-up using iconic songs spanning from the 1960s to today. Drawing on lyrics, rhythm, melody and mood, we’ll then turn your songs into movement — starting with simple gestures, movements and ideas that may gradually come together as a shared choreography.
Songs We Carry is an opportunity to connect with yourself and others through the music you love, explore storytelling through dance and movement, keep memories alive and make new one's.
The workshop is completely free of charge. No previous dance experience is needed, and all abilities and mobilities are welcome. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in.
