About the Movie
When eccentric candy maker Willy Wonka hides five Golden Tickets inside his famous chocolate bars, a poor but sweet boy named Charlie Bucket finds one. Alongside four spoiled children, Charlie wins a lifetime supply of sweets and a guided tour of the secretive, spectacular chocolate factory. What follows is a whimsical, music-filled journey through a world of chocolate rivers, giant gummy bears, and mysterious Oompa Loompas.
Parents' Note:
Please note that we are screening the original 1971 movie. While it is a beloved family classic, some scenes (like the boat ride) can be a bit intense or spooky, so it may not be suitable for very small children.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is probably the best film of its sort since The Wizard of Oz. It is everything that family movies usually claim to be, but aren't: Delightful, funny, scary, exciting, and, most of all, a genuine work of imagination. Chicago Sun TimesSee What's On
