'Beneath | Beofhód', is a decade-long project from Artist Shane Hynan, exploring the social, cultural, and historical importance of peat bogs in the Irish Midlands. This photographic exhibition is A Photo Museum Ireland National Tour and is currently on view in the Source Arts Centre.
As part of the exhibition events, Source hosts this panel discussion looking at the 'evolving perception and value of peatlands in contemporary Ireland. Bogs have undergone significant alteration and a move towards ecologically aware practices, with the construction of new renewable wind and solar farms, which bring their own questions and challenges.'
Participants include: Photographer, Shane Hynan; Theatre Director Luke Casserly ('Distillation') and Michael Long from the Cabragh Wetlands Project.
This is a Climate Action Event I Duration: 1 hour
