Long Form Music Projects at The Source 2020-
Source has commissioned a number of musicians over the past number of years to make long-form works.
The Project looks open up the opportunity of making longer work outside of the normal 3-5 minute song, the duration creating extra opportunities to experiment. Generally these new pieces are between 8- 11 minutes
The works are newly created original pieces; they can be an extended song, perhaps somewhat instrumental, could segue between two distinct movements, could include spoken word etc. The choices are quite wide and there is no set theme. The Artist owns the recording and retains all earnings. It is released on online platforms Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube etc.
