Thurles Drama Group is delighted to announce their autumn production of 'Calendar Girls' written by Tim Firth and directed by Mary Slattery.
This heart-warming story is based on a true tale about a group of women who decide to create a calendar to fundraise for leukemia support in their local hospital. A calendar is all very well, but they've decided that it should be a nude one … with themselves as the subjects!
Friendship is put to the test in this story full of emotions, sadness and comedy which follows their journey through their newfound fame and demonstrates just how far a great idea can be taken.
