Dir. Debra Granik, USA, 109 Min
Based on the book ‘My Abandonment’ by Peter Rock this tells the story of a father and daughter living off grid in a public park in Oregon. Will is an Iraq War veteran suffering from PTSD. He and his 13-year-old daughter live in almost total isolation, only entering the town for occasional food and supplies. But their idyllic life is shattered and both are put into social services. After clashing with their new surroundings, Will and Tom set off on a harrowing journey back to their wild homeland.
