Poetry Day 2021

The poem reflects on the original High Kings of Munster and how their sovereignty depended on good relationship and annual sacred marriage to the land: the Banais Ríghí. Wells looks at the tacit link between human responsibilities towards the natural world in this piece. The poem was commissioned by Cashel Arts Festival and the film was supported The Source Arts Centre with additional supports through Tipperary County Council and The Arts Council.  https://youtu.be/pWyHPRFOJr4
