Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro

It's the swinging sixties and the Almaviva household is in disarray.

 

The head of the family, Count Almaviva himself, is filled with desire for Susanna, one of the household servents. He will stop at nothing until he gets his way with her. Not even her forthcoming marriage to Figaro can thwart the count's evil plans...

 

Sit back and enjoy the ensuing chaos as mistaken identities, cross-dressing jilted lovers and vengeful suitors are thrown in together with one of the world's best loved opera scores. 

 

 

Directed by Annilese Miskimmon, and sung in English, The Marriage of Figaro bubbles full of Mozart’s enthusiasm for life.

 

Considered Mozart’s greatest opera, Opera Theatre Company’s captivating production celebrates twenty-four years of touring opera. Sung in English, the glorious score is conducted by Fergus Sheil, performed by OTC’s touring ensemble and is guaranteed to delight the seasoned fan and first time opera-goer alike.
