Thurles Library presents
Cloughjordan Art Group
Cloughjordan Art Group was formed 3 years ago out of the ashes of a former art class. The participants took the initiative to form their own group and since then they have continued to paint together and to support each other in their art. The group have exhibited successfully throughout Limerick and Tipperary.
Presently the group consists of three members: Betty Banaghan, Geraldine Daly and Helen Costello. All three artists have their own distinctive style. The strong colours and clear settings of Betty’s work are the inspiration from her many travels. Geraldine says that “painting is a visual experience, a learning process of life and living”, which is reflected in her loose style.
