The Source Arts Centre proudly presents

What Do We Want? When Do We Want It?

A solo show by Rowena Keaveny

The Source has commission Offaly based artist Rowena Keaveny to create a piece, live and straight onto the wall of the Gallery.

Inspired by her belief that ‘Personal is Political’ this new work has developed from an exploration of protest.

It examines how, in the current global, national and local context, citizens are faced with circumstances in which they are forced to find their voices and verbalise objections to the threats eroding the autonomy of their daily lives.

Using a variety of media Rowena will examine what people are saying and why they might be saying it. The new work will be painted in full view of visitors to the Gallery over a three week period and will be exhibited alongside other works by the artist.
