John Scott is one of Ireland’s most radical, imaginative and internationally acclaimed choreographers, he celebrates 25 years of his company with a compelling new work Precious Metal. Featuring an international team of technically brilliant, culturally diverse dancers and artists the piece combines passion and virtuosity, humour and heartbreak.
Audiences can expect wild jumps into space, wonderful rhythms and movements driven by speed and strength, all delivered with poignancy and grace.
Irish Modern Dance Theatre is a physically and culturally diverse ensemble, ranging from virtuosic Cunningham dancers to survivors of torture in Africa. The company has also toured extensively internationally throughout Europe, to the US and Mexico.

Scott’s choreography is playful, virtuosic and passionate and has been described as “Beckett meets Monty Python”.  He plays with different performance settings, from theatres to museums to a restaurant, working with performers of different styles, ages and backgrounds.

Join us at The Source Arts Centre as we celebrate another year as one of the host venues for the Tipperary Dance Platform festival. Running since 2010 the festival is an annual international dance event characterized by its friendly atmosphere.
The festival offers a vibrant festive gathering for visitors, local audiences and dance professionals. Discover the art of dance with a unique line-up of International and Irish-based artists selected among some of the most exciting companies in Ireland and abroad.

Music is provided by Duke Special, Phil Coulter, with tributes to Christie Hennessy, Queen and Led Zeppelin also included.
Neil Delamere, Fred Cooke and a double header with Bernard O’Shea and Karl Spain provide the laughs this season. We’re also delighted to have back the annual Panto – which is Hansel and Gretel this Winter.
We have a strong film selection as always with a number of Academy Award and Cannes Film Festival winners – ‘La La Land’, ‘Moonlight’, ‘The Salesman’ and a special screening of ‘Dr. Zhivago’, this being the 100 anniversary of the Russian revolution. Remember we screen all out films on a cinema size screen, so you get the best picture  - and sound available. On this very special tour 'Hallow', Duke Special will be performing songs and music based on the poetry of this influential and renowned Belfast writer.  Longley's poems are full of gentleness, honesty, mischief, love and are peppered with a cast of artists, animals, flowers, friends and long forgotten soldiers.  As ever, Duke Special is mining a new seam of inspiration, hunting for treasures and what it means to be a human being. She has run some of Dublin's most seminal club nights, and hosted and produced the legendary Alternative Miss Ireland pageant, which raised money over 18 years for HIV/AIDS charities in Ireland. She is landlady of Pantibar in Dublin, where she performs a weekly drag show -­The Pantishow.

Panti made her theatrical debut in 2007 with the critically acclaimed, sold-­out In These Shoes? From there, she was invited to create All Dolled Up for The Dublin Fringe Festival. As a direct result, Panti was commissioned by Project Arts Centre and THISISPOPBABY to create a new piece for the Dublin Theatre Festival called A Woman in Progress. In July 2013 All Dolled Up Restitched was created, a reimagining of her three hit shows, which played at the Peacock Theatre in the Abbey, and went on to tour Australia. Panti’s latest collaboration with THISISPOPBABY – High Heels in Low Places is a response to the social, political and media maelstrom that erupted earlier this year known as ‘Pantigate’ and the ensuing Marriage Equality Referendum in Ireland. The show has played to packed houses throughout Ireland and the UK, as well as Sydney, Paris, New York and Sarejevo. High Heels in Low Places is not about Pantigate, it is more about life after Pantigate, making movies and making history along with other brushes with infamy that Panti has had in a life well lived. It’s a comedy.
