Community Space Events

The Source Arts Centre and Library share a community space. This light, airy, private room is available for anyone to book for artistic and non-artistic activities. Enquiries should be addressed to Claudia Woolgar, 0504 90340.
 
Over the current season we have the following events confirmed for the Community Space:
 

Pregnancy/Post-Pregnancy Yoga

This class is given by Ciara (www.herbalist.ie)

Dates: Ongoing classes every 6 weeks, starting Thursday 14th January

Times: 6.15pm - 7.15pm Pregnancy Yoga & 7.20pm - 8.20pm Post-Pregnancy/General Yoga

Thurles Parent, Baby & Toddler Group (for under 5s)

An informal gathering for parents/carers to meet, chat and have a coffee while the children play and interact with others.

Dates: Every Wednesday 6th January – 31st of March except school holidays

Times: 10.30am – 12.30noon

Cost: €3 for the morning session, irrespective of the number of children

Pilates – core stability training

This class is given by Carina Pierce, Chartered Physiotherapist

Dates: Every Tuesday from 19th January for 10 weeks lasting one hour

Times: 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm

Fracture Youth Theatre in usual font

Fracture Youth Theatre formally known as the North Tipperary Youth Theatre encourages young people to enjoy drama and related activities through participation in theatrical performance, workshops, games and improvisations, directed by Joanne Quinn.

 

Drama workshops will be held weekly at The Source for young people aged 13-17 years. Places are limited so please book early. Experience in drama is not necessary.

Dates: Every Saturday from 13th February – 15th May

Time: 3.00 – 5.00pm

YOUNG GAIETY THURLES - 2010

The Young Gaiety Saturday School focuses on imaginative and confidence building exercises, incorporating dance, singing, creative writing and voice.  Students receive valuable feedback and direction from their tutor.  Ultimately, the Saturday School aims to build confidence and creativity, freeing participants to play an informed and contributory role in all walks of life.

 

Each term ends in a devised showcase which parents and friends can attend.  To encourage self confidence and ensure personal attention for each student, class size is strictly limited so book early!

 

2nd term:            16th January – 20th March

3rd term:            17th April – 19th June

 

Times:      8-11’s     10.00am – 11.30am

10-13’s    11.45am – 1.15pm

6-9’s       1.30pm – 3.00pm
