About Us

The Source Arts Centre opened on 2nd October 2006 and is one of Ireland's newest arts centres.

It consists of a 250 seat auditorium with flexible seating, and a dedicated gallery space.

A year round programme of events will include film, theatre, dance, ballet, opera, music, family events, comedy and visual art exhibitions. And alongside the professional events The Source will have a community and youth outreach programme. If you want to get involved, then click here and give us a call.

Mission Statement

The Source Arts Centre aims to provide the people of Tipperary and its hinterlands with a cultural facility offering an engaging and diverse programme of events across artforms. Alongside the presentation of professional, new and innovative work, and its commitment to developing a broad audience for the arts, The Source also has an open door policy to regional groups, encouraging interaction in the life of the centre through a variety of activities.

Key aims and objectives:

ensuring The Source sits at the heart of the community, thereby continuing to develop audiences for the full range of presented work;
offering an exciting multi-artform programme encompassing professional and community events;
continuing to develop the reputation of The Source as a centre of outreach, training and creative opportunities, and a flagship venue;
delivering the best we can, thereby encouraging continued grant and sponsor support for a secure future.

Community Involvement
We are also looking for ideas from you. We've done Halloween Balls featuring young bands in the region, local singer/songwriter nights, DJ workshops, dance workshops.... Do if you have an idea you’d like to share, do please email or call us – it’s your arts centre and the doors are open to everyone!
